It can be aggravating to have skin problems, but food can make a huge difference in your complexion.
In my past experience, I was convinced that purchasing all kinds of acne products would help my skin, but I didn't realize that a lot of skin issues stem from what you put in your body. Medications and acne creams do not genuinely fix the underlying issue. The kinds of foods that you incorporate into your diet can be just as effective, if not more, at getting to the root of the problem. It is essential to treat your body with care and make healthy choices to nourish and improve your skin's appearance.
Here are some top skin-friendly foods to help improve your skin and overall complexion
Fish
Fish contains antioxidants and essential fatty acids like omega-3s and omega-6s that help regulate oil production and help combat acne. These fatty acids also add to collagen production, promote heart health, and reduce inflammation preventing skin issues such as psoriasis, acne, and eczema. Inflammation is one of the leading causes of acne and blemishes, so incorporating fish into your diet is a great first step in creating a clear, skin-friendly diet.
Nuts and Seeds
Nuts and seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A, B, E, antioxidants, zinc, and selenium.
